
Maggie Blackwell has been chosen as one of the 2022-2023 students of the month from Mrs. Miller’s first grade class. Maggie is the daughter of Angela and Bo Blackwell. She has one older sister Claire. She has three dogs. Their names are Poppy, Smokey, and Bear. Maggie’s favorite food is pizza from Maria’s. Her favorite restaurant is Applebee’s because they have the best pasta. Her favorite color is purple. She has many hobbies. She loves to play outside and jump on her trampoline. She also loves to play in the rain. If she is stuck inside, she enjoys coloring and playing on her tablet. Her favorite subject in school is math because she loves learning and finds math to be very easy. Maggie is an excellent reader. Her favorite book is Silly, Millie. She loves to read that story with her mother. Maggie wants to be a police officer when she grows up. She thinks it would be a very fun and exciting job. Maggie was chosen to be student of the month for a variety of reasons. She has a wonderfully kind heart and is a friend to everyone. She is a very hard worker, and volunteers for any task in the classroom. She is always willing to help others. She has a great sense of humor and always makes others laugh. Blake Dzuiba has been chosen as one of the 2022-2023 students of the month from Mrs. Miller’s first grade class. Blake is the son of Jordan and Nicole Dzuiba. He has one older brother Marshall and one younger sister Katelyn. He has two dogs, one cat, and a bunch of chickens. Blake’s favorite food is bbq chicken wings. His favorite restaurant is Buffalo Wild Wings because they have the best wings. His favorite color is green. He has many hobbies. He loves to play catch and basketball. He also enjoys roller blading. He was part of the run club this year and hopes to continue running next year. When he is not playing outside, he likes to help make dinner for his family. His favorite subject in school is math because he loves learning. He really enjoys computer class as he loves to play the math game called Prodigy. Blake is an excellent reader. His favorite book is How I Met My Monster. Blake wants to be a vet when he grows up. He thinks it would be a very fun job because animals are so cute. Blake was chosen to be student of the month for a variety of reasons. He has a wonderfully kind heart and is a friend to everyone. He is an excellent listener and active participant in class. He can always be counted on to be paying attention and ready to learn. He is a very hard worker and takes pride in his work. I am pleased to announce Baylee Pellow as one of Mayville Elementary School’s first grade students of the month. I chose Baylee because she always puts forth her best effort and is a dedicated hard working student. She is always following along and sets good examples for others to follow. Baylee is also always a good friend to everyone. Baylee is the daughter of Kayla and Brandon Pellow. She has two younger siblings. A two year old brother named Colton and a 4 year old sister named Miah. Baylee has two dogs. Bonnie is black and white and Rosco is brown and white. She loves to play catch with them. Baylee’s favorite food is steak. She said it is the best when dad barbeques it. Baylee’s favorite color is purple because it is beautiful. Her favorite subject in school is reading. She also likes going to gym class. Her favorite thing about school is reading with her teacher. When Baylee is able to play outside, she likes to jump on the trampoline with her brother and sister. If she has to stay in the house, she likes to relax and take a nap. Baylee’s favorite books are LOL Books. When Baylee grows up she would like to be a police officer. I am pleased to announce Grady Piche as one of Mayville Elementary School’s first grade students of the month. I chose Grady for his wonderful personality and hard work. I can always count on him to be following along and listening. He is a good friend to everyone in the room. Grady is the son of Lindsey and Brian Piche. He has a brother named Gunner and a sister named Brynn. Grady has two pet cats. Sunny is all orange and Pumpkin Pie is orange and white. Grady’s favorite food is crab legs. His favorite restaurant is Blind Fish where he likes to order salad. He likes Blind Fish because it has seafood. Grady’s favorite book is Hey That is My Monster and his favorite color is green. Grady’s favorite subject is science because it is cool. He also likes gym and doing stretches. His favorite thing about school is that his teacher is really nice. When Grady is able to go outside he likes to ride dirt bikes. If he has to play inside he likes to play hide and seek with his brother and sister. When Grady grows up he would like to be a police officer. I am very proud to announce Grady Piche as student of the month and feel he does a great job representing Mayville Community Schools.

I am pleased to introduce Luke Case as one of my Students of the Month for the month of February. Luke is the son of Patrick Case and Haley Case. He has three sisters, Lucy, Lily, and Lola. Luke is a hardworking, polite young man. He cheerfully completes any task asked of him, and never hesitates to help a fellow classmate. He works well with others and is a friend to everyone. He does an outstanding job of meeting all C.A.T.S. expectations. Luke participates well in class, and puts good effort into all of his assignments. He has great enthusiasm for learning, and is always excited about new topics in class. Luke says his favorite subject at school is math. He likes how sometimes math is hard and sometimes it is easy. He also thinks it is really neat that when you put numbers together it makes a bigger number. Outside of school, Luke enjoys being active. He likes running. He also tried wrestling and says it was a lot of fun. His favorite color is red, and his favorite food is pizza. When Luke grows up, he would like to be a farmer with his cousin. They plan to grow crops such as corn and have lots of animals including horses, chickens, and sheep. He also wants to have his own German Shepherd. I have greatly enjoyed having Luke in my classroom. He enters school every day with a smile! His cheerful attitude and excitement for learning add to the positive environment in our classroom. I am confident that he has a bright future ahead of him!

I am pleased to introduce Harper Lindberg as one of my Students of the Month for the month of February. Harper is the daughter of David and Nicole Lindberg. She has one little sister, Ainsley. She also has two dogs, Bella and Malley. Harper is a very kind and respectful young lady. She cheerfully completes any task asked of her and is always willing to help. She does an outstanding job of meeting all C.A.T.S. expectations. She is a great example of a student who chooses wisely, acts responsibly, treats others with respect, and stays safe. Harper can always be counted on to follow directions and to give her best effort. Outside of school, Harper has many hobbies. She is currently taking two dance classes. She also likes to play basketball and is part of the 2nd grade basketball team. Harper also enjoys playing Barbies with her sister. In the summertime, they like to take their Barbies to the swing set to play. Harper’s favorite color is purple. She does not have a favorite food because she says she loves every food. Harper’s favorite subject in school is science. She says she loves science because sometimes it makes cools things or things explode. Harper would like to be a teacher when she grows up. She says she wants to be a teacher so she can do science, make crafts, and do fun things. I have greatly enjoyed having Harper in my classroom. She is a wonderful young lady with great potential. I am confident that she has a bright future ahead!

I am honored to present Harper Misiak as one of Mayville Elementary School’s second grade students of the month. I chose Harper because she follows our CATS expectations here at Mayville. Harper is always trying her best and works hard in class. She is respectful and helpful to her classmates. Harper is a very reliable student. She is always willing to help when it is needed. Harper is the daughter to Emily and Nicholas. She has 1 sister, named Addi, and 2 brothers named Keegan and Byron. She has a Golden Retriever and a black Goldendoodle. She also has a couple outside dogs and cats. Harper’s favorite food is pork. She likes to eat french fries and vegetables with it. If she could choose any restaurant to go out to eat at she would choose Taco Bell because they have good food. She likes the burrito and potatoes her mom gets when they go. Her favorite thing about school is getting to learn because when you grow up you will know everything.. Her favorite subject is math because she likes numbers. She enjoys the book “Freeze Over” because it is about 3 kids who have to help their school out. Her favorite color is pink.. At home she likes play to with her Barbie doll and brothers. At school she really likes playing with her friends, especially Gracie and Danielle. When she grows up she wants to be a hairstylist and own her own hair salon. It is a joy to have Harper in class and she is a wonderful representation for Mayville Elementary School.

I am honored to present Jaxson Trzil as one of Mayville Elementary School’s second grade students of the month. I chose Jaxson because he follows our CATS expectations here at Mayville. I also chose him because he is respectful and hardworking. Jaxson is always raising his hand and following along in class discussions.. He also follows all classroom rules and tries his best in class. He loves to help me as well as his fellow classmates. Jaxson is the son of Sabrina and Brian Trzil. He has 3 brothers; Hudson, Lukas, and Wesley, and 1 sister; Elizabeth. Jaxson’s favorite food is corn on the cob. He really likes to mix it with potatoes. If he could choose any restaurant to go out to eat at he would choose McDonalds because they have a really good cheeseburger and coke and fries. The fries are his favorite part. His favorite thing about school is going to lunch because he gets to eat. His favorite subject is science because he likes to learn about things in the wild, like how we are currently learning about plants.. His favorite book is “Pencil and Eraser” because it is funny. His favorite color is blue. At home he likes to watch tv and play on his Nintendo switch. He plays the sonic racing game. He also likes to watch Hulu and Netflix At school he likes to play with his friends, especially Ryan. When he grows up he wants to be a drawing artist and a track star. It is a joy to have Jaxson in class and he is a wonderful representation for Mayville Elementary School.

I am happy to announce that Claire Blackwell has been selected as a Mayville Elementary Student of the month. Claire is extremely responsible and caring. She always follows directions and school rules and is one of the first to be prepared in the classroom. She, also, is patient with her fellow classmates, and is willing to help others. Claire is the daughter of Angela and Bo Blackwell. She also has a younger sister, Maggie, who she loves very much. Claire also has many pets. She helps care for her dogs Poppy, Smoky, and Bear, her fish, Angel, and her algae eater, Al. Claire has many hobbies outside of school. She loves spending time playing with her family and playing baseball. She would love to be a professional baseball player someday. When asked what Claire enjoys most about school, she said she likes reading and music. She would like to grow up to be a scientist because she likes experiments. I believe that with all the hard work that Claire demonstrates now, she will only continue to succeed in her future endeavors. Congratulations, Claire for being a Third Grade Student of the Month!
It is my honor and privilege to present Parker James Brooks as one of Mayville Elementary School’s third grade students of the month. I chose Parker because he is a polite and respectful student. He comes to class with a smile on his face and a positive attitude. He is always one of the first students to earn a C.A.T.S. card. Parker is the son of Shelly and James Brooks. He has a brother, Lucas, and a sister, Alexis. Parker’s role model is his mom and dad because they help him when he has problems and helps him face his fears. When he grows up he would like to be a conductor on a train. His friends are Kaylynn, Dylan, Gabe, Gage, Olivia, Hunter, Elizabeth, and Aubree. All of them say he is nice and funny. They also said he is also supportive and honest. He is most proud of himself for being brave and conquering his fears. He said he is really good at playing Uno. Parker’s favorite subject is math. He likes to listen to rock music and Kids Bop. His favorite books are Dogman. His favorite food is vanilla cake. He enjoys watching television, playing on the trampoline, and going on the treadmill. He also likes to play his favorite sport, soccer, but he wished he was better at more sports. We are very happy to have Parker Brooks represent Mayville Elementary as our Student of the Month.

I chose Riley because she is a super, sweet girl with a kind heart and positive attitude. She is a great role model for her classmates. She makes good choices and is respectful. Riley is the daughter of Melissa Cohee and Timothy Patson. She has three siblings: Amelianna, Travis, and Carolynn. She said her role model is her mom and dad, because they are nice and take care of her. Riley would like to be a police officer when she grows up. Riley’s favorite subject is math, but she loves to read and play outside. She says she is really good at running. She has lots of pets; dogs, cats, chickens, lizards, and ferrets. Her favorite books are fairy tales and she likes to listen to all kinds of music. Her favorite food is McDonalds. Riley loves to read and play outside. She also likes to play basketball in her free time. Her friends are Aubree and Sophia. They say Riley is loyal and trustworthy friend. They also say she is funny, nice and always shares. It is a delight to have Riley Patson-Cohee represent Mayville Elementary as our Student of the Month.
I am happy to announce that Bentley Skank has been selected to be a Mayville Student of the Month. Bentley has been a complete joy to have in the classroom. He is a wonderful role model for all students as he obeys and follows the school rules. Bentley is always ready to learn as soon as he walks through the door. Bentley is the son of Samantha and Brandon Skank. Bentley also has an older brother, Brock who he looks up to. He also has many pets that he helps take care of at home such as his dog Max, his snake Fang, and frog Frogger. Bentley enjoys going to school here at Mayville Elementary. His favorite subject is math and he loves going to gym. He is a very hard worker, even when something may give him trouble. Bentley has many interests outside of school. He is very athletic and is involved in football and wrestling. Bentley also enjoys hunting. When asked what he would like to be when he grows up, he says a zookeeper because they make a lot of money. Bentley has proved to be an excellent student, and he will only succeed more as he furthers his education. With his drive to improve and his ability to make wise decisions, Bentley will continue to do well at the things he sets his mind to. Kieya Berlin is the daughter of Jennifer and Jimmy Berlin. She has six siblings; Gabby, Trenton, Trinity, Ekko, Levanie, and Daxton. Kieya’s best friends are Monroe, Jazzy, and Rori. In her free time Kieya enjoys playing with her cats, playing on her tablet and bothering her big brother Trenton. Kieya loves volleyball, country music, and math. Her hobbies include hanging out with her family and going to the neighbors house to babysit. If Kieya could have anything in the world she would want her family to live forever. When Kieya grows up she wants to be a veterinarian. Kieya says “her role model is TT because she takes care of us and works hard for her big family.” Something unique about Kieya is that she cares about everyone's feelings. Kieya was chosen as the student of the month for fourth grade because she is kind, caring and she always puts forth her best effort every day. She is very responsible and respectful. Kieya is a friend to everyone and is always willing to help out her classmates and teachers. Kieya has a huge caring heart and she is a joy to have in class.
Emily Fisher is the daughter of Amber and Richard Fisher, she has two siblings; Ella and Matthew. Emily’s best friends are Baylee, Riley, Lucy, Alivia, Christina, and lots more! In her free time Emily enjoys coloring, playing with her siblings, cooking with mom and dad and playing softball. When she grows up she wants to be an artist. Her mom is her role model because she is a great person and she loves her very much. Emily’s choice for a vacation would be Hawaii. Her favorite book is green eggs and ham and her favorite food is pot roast. Emily was chosen to be student of the month because she is always kind and helpful. She is respectful towards her classmates and is always trying to encourage others. Congratulations Emily on being student of the month!
Kyle Moore is the son of Jeff and Mari Moore, he has two siblings; Nolan and Gracie. Kyle’s best friends are Garrett, Zak and Crew! In his free time Kyle enjoys throwing the football and spending time with his family. When he grows up he wants to be a police officer. The things Kyle is the most proud of are his mom and getting student of the month. If Kyle could have anything in the world it would be a “jacked-up 1986 Chevy K20 square body.” (good choice) His favorite book is the Dog Man series. Kyle is a very kind student. He is always eager to learn and constantly working to be a better student. He is a great friend to his classmates and always kind. Congratulations Kyle on being student of the month!
Rori Young is the daughter of Kenzie Howell and Justin Young, she has four siblings; Remi, Ruger, Beau and Mia. Rori’s best friends are Monroe, Emily, Teegan and Ava. In her free time she enjoys peace and quiet and relaxing. Her favorite sport is softball and she loves listening to country music. She enjoys math, crafts and her family. When Rori grows up she wants to be a lawyer. Her role model is her mom because she always protects her. Her favorite food is burgers and her favorite book is Charlotte’s Web. Something unique about Rori is that she is an excellent swimmer. Rori has been chosen as the student of the month because of her good behavior, positive attitude, and kindness. Rori is a hard worker, she is always responsible and respectful. She is a good role model for her classmates and she is kind to everyone. Rori has a really fun and catchy personality, she is an excellent student and friend. It is a pleasure to have her in class.

Xander Croff has been selected as 5th Grade Student of the Month in Mrs. Foster’s class. He is the son of Irma Cox and brother to Zachary and Elijah. His favorite subject in school is Math. He especially enjoys long division. At school, Xander loves learning new things and hanging out with his friends. Outside of school, Xander likes playing video and computer games. He also enjoys reading comics. When Xander grows up he wants to become a 5th Grade Math Teacher. Xander has been chosen as Student of the Month because of his exemplary behavior. He is always on task and actively engaged in lessons. Xander cares about the work he does and wants to excel in school. He is kind to his peers and ready to lend a helping hand whenever it's needed. Ekko Berlin has been selected as 5th Grade Student of the Month for Mrs. Foster’s class. She is the daughter of Jennifer and Jimmy Berlin. She is sister to Kieya, Trinity, Trenton, Gabby, Daxton, and Levanie. Ekko loves school and her favorite subjects are Math and Science. Outside of school, Ekko enjoys swinging and being outside with her cats. She also likes watching basketball and crafting. In the future, she wants to be a zoo keeper or zoologist. Ekko has been selected as Student of the Month because she exhibits model student behavior. She is always positive and works hard. She asks for help when needed and is motivated to excel in all that she does. Ekko gets along well with other students and is respectful to all. Congratulations Ekko, keep it up!
Timothy Fisher Jr. has been nominated as my student of the month for my 5th grade class. Tim is a thoughtful and kind young man who enjoys Pokemon and playing video games; his favorite game is Roblox. His favorite food is enchiladas, and his favorite color is purple. In school, his favorite subject is science because of the interesting experiments he is able to do. Tim’s future goals include being either a youtuber or an electronics engineer. His favorite thing about 5th grade is that it is his last year in Elementary School! Timothy has been selected as my student of the month for his passion in education. Timothy works hard each day with his teachers and overcomes any challenges that are thrown his way. His focus in each of his classes is reflected in his participation and understanding of the material being taught. Tim’s passion for science drives discussions in the classroom and oftentimes helps others understand things better. He is kind, respectful, and considerate to all of his peers, making him a friend to all. He supports those around him and reminds them to never give up and to do their best. Tim strives to meet and exceed expectations daily and his eagerness to learn will take him far. We are so proud of you, Tim!
Georgia Haley has been nominated as my student of the month for my 5th grade class. Georgia is a focused and kind young lady who enjoys volleyball, soccer, hanging out with her family, and playing on her phone. Her favorite food is sushi, specifically a California Roll, and her favorite color is black. In school, her favorite subjects are math and science. She enjoys math because she is great with numbers and enjoys doing experiments in science to understand the world around her. Georgia’s future goals include being a youtuber that focuses on education. Her favorite thing about 5th grade are her teachers who she thinks are nice and funny. Georgia has been selected as my student of the month for her kind and hard-working demeanor. She accepts everybody for who they are, makes an effort to get along with everyone, and makes sure all students feel included. Georgia puts forth her best effort and takes time to make sure she completes her work accurately. Georgia also advocates for herself and asks questions whenever needed. Her willingness to always try and “never-give-up” mindset are just a few of the reasons she meets all of her CATS expectations daily. Keep it up, Georgia!
