I am honored to present Madison Campbell as my Kindergarten Student of the Month at Mayville Elementary School. Madison is the daughter of Alvin Feole of Mayville and Gina Campbell of Davison. At Dad’s, she has five pets: four chihuahuas whose names are Sissy, Miss, Lilly, and Teva, and a cat named Chino. At Mom’s, she has a chocolate lab named Aylah Rain. Madison loves her family a lot and enjoys spending time with them. When she is at Dad’s, she enjoys hanging out with him on the couch and watching him play his games. She adds that she sometimes “worms around”. When at Mom’s, she enjoys hanging out and watching movies with her.  Madison’s favorite color is teal. Her favorite foods are pizza and ice cream sandwiches. Her favorite special in school is Art because she gets to make lots of crafts. Her favorite subject in school is math because she loves working with numbers on paper. She said that she just  loves school so much because the best part is learning.  Her favorite memory this year was our Valentine’s Day party because Rowyn came back to visit our class after moving. She also wants everyone to know that she loves to “help out people.” When she grows up, she hopes to become a veterinarian.  Anyone who knows Madison would instantly know why she was chosen for this honor. As a child, Madison is so well spoken and has such an optimistic outlook on life.  She always finds a positive spin in any situation and her positivity is contagious to those around her. She is always kind, always respectful, and always taking her role as a student seriously.  Madison always puts forth her best effort, asks questions when needed, and contributes to class discussions. She is a great friend to her peers and encourages others to do the same.  I am so proud of all she has accomplished so far and look forward to hearing great things in the future. Congratulations, Madison, on a job well done!

I have chosen Kaydence Orlowski as my Kindergarten Student of the Month.  Kaydence is 6 years old and the daughter of Zach and Elise Orlowski.  She is one of 7 children.  Her older siblings are Aubree, Easton and Kynlee, all of whom attend our elementary school.  Her younger siblings are Crewman, Prudence and Everett.  Her family has 5 dogs, Stella, Oakley, Silver, Henry and Collins.  She and her siblings like to play outside on their trampoline, swings and slide.  Kaydence’s favorite color is purple.  Her favorite foods are cucumbers and cereal. She doesn’t know what she wants to be when she grows up.  At school, Kaydence likes to play with the free play center toys. She likes to draw pictures, while sitting with her friends, and she likes to play on the swings at recess.   Her favorite subject to learn is math.  One of the things I appreciate about Kaydence is her confidence and leadership during calendars.  Every day, when we count to 100, her voice is loud and crystal clear, a beautiful example for the other kids and confidently leading the rest of the class as we count.  I chose Kaydence as my student of the month because she is such a sweet and kind girl.  She is so dependable in class as a good example of how to follow directions or how to be a good friend to others.  She is my number one volunteer when it comes to passing out papers and I can always count on her to help me.  I had the pleasure of having Kaydence in my class last year as a Beginnergartner, and I am truly honored to be her teacher again.  She has grown so much this last year and has blossomed into a smart and confident girl, who is well on her way to being ready for first grade.  I am honored to present her to you as my Student of the Month.

I’m sure that whatever he chooses, he will succeed through hard work and dedication.  In his free time at home, Declan enjoys snuggling with his Mom. Mom is his whole world! While at school, he likes writing. He said he likes learning how to write words and letters. His favorite special is gym. He enjoys playing there even though he gets sweaty and really thirsty. Declan enjoyed writing numbers in shaving cream last week. When we were done, he told me “that was satisfying!”  It was an easy decision choosing Declan for this honor. When given a direction, Declan is usually the first on his feet following it. When it’s time to clean up, he gets to work and doesn’t quit until the job is done. He is always kind, always respectful, and always looking for ways to help. He puts forth his best effort at all times and isn't too shy to ask questions when he needs help. Declan is a quiet, reflective young man who chooses his words wisely. I am so proud of how much growth he has shown in his schoolwork and social skills since the beginning of the year.  I look forward to seeing him continue growing and hearing all about his future.  Congratulations, Declan, on a job well done!
