Brooklyn Asmus was chosen as the 5th Grade Student of the Month in Mrs. Coyer’s class. She is the daughter of Chelsea and Taylor Smith, and Wardell and Jenna Asmus and sister to Graham and soon to be Hallie. Her favorite subject in school is Math, when asked what made Math her favorite, Brooklyn said it starts out hard, but it gets easier! Brooklyn’s favorite part of 5th Grade so far, is her teachers and the new friends she’s making. Brooklyn’s interests include; volleyball, horseback riding, coloring and drawing. Her favorite food is steak and fruit salad, and her favorite color is baby blue. Brooklyn’s future career plans are becoming a Physical Therapist Assistant or owning a farm with every animal possible. Brooklyn was chosen as the 5th Grade Student of the Month for her perseverance and dedication to learning. She collaborates well with others and asks for clarification when needed. She is a trustworthy and reliable student. Brooklyn always puts forth her best effort in class, whether that be in her classroom engagement or the work she completes. Brooklyn’s advice to 4th Graders is ‘Teachers are helpful so ask when you have questions! It gets easier!’. Congratulations Brooklyn!
