Marshal Smith

Marshal Smith has earned the distinction of Valedictorian for the class of 2026. Marshal is the son of Brad Smith, Tiffany Phelps and Leeann Smith. Marshal has been a solid leader in his class for the last 4 years, be it working hard on his classes or with his teams and clubs. This year was a bit different for Marshal though, his day was rarely spent here at Mayville. Marshal took on Dual Enrollment classes for half of his day, accumulating 17 college credits throughout this year. The other half of his day he spent working at a Co-op Job with TI Automotive Group. This co-op job was earned after having completed a year in the electronics class at the Tech Center.
Here at Mayville, Marshal has been involved with the Student Council, the National Honor Society, and the Academic Games Technology Team. He was a member of the Cross Country and Track Teams. Over the summer, and random occasions throughout the year when needed, Marshal joined our custodial crew to help clean the buildings. He also worked the past two years as one of the crossing guards before and after school.
Marshal has done many great things here at Mayville, and we are sure that he will continue to be an amazing student as he moves on to Oakland University, where he plans to pursue a degree in Electrical Engineering.

Congratulations Marshal!
